Adam Wibrowski
Adam Wibrowski is a graduate of the Superior National Academy of Music in Krakow, Poland, and the Sorbonne University in Paris. He received first prizes in the Polish National Chopin Competition in Warsaw and the Union Française des Artistes Musiciennes Competition in Paris, and the Diploma of Honor in the Maria Canals International Competition in Barcelona.
He is awarded the French National Professorship in Piano Professional Performance Studies and in Chamber Music Studies, the highest diplomas in the French National Conservatory system. His activities include concerts, masterclasses, and workshops throughout Europe (France, Poland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Holland, Ukraine), Japan, Australia, Canada and the United States.
A frequent member of international juries such as the Gina Bachauer, Gilmore, Montreal, Chopin European, Epinal, Cagliari, Paderewski Los Angeles, and Artur Rubinstein in memoriam competitions, prof. Adam Wibrowski tought successively at the Grenoble Conservatory, at the University of Southern California at Los Angeles, Rice University Houston, and since 2000 permanently at the Conservatoire of Paris.
Founder of the In Search of Chopin tours, of the Chopin Festival at Nohant, president of the Chopin Society in Nohant, A.Wibrowski is an internationally recognized authority on the life and music of Chopin. Founder Artistic Director of the Liszt Piano Festival in Hungary, and of the Austrian International Piano Seminar and Festival.
Artistic Director of the E.U. program "Piano - mirror of the European Culture".
